Position: Lounge Attendant – The Club; Location: North Charleston, SC, US Pay: $19.00 per hour Shift Times: 4:00 AM–12:30 PM; 12:30 PM–9:00 PM Job Summary The Club is located alongside various shops and restaurants and offers a fast‑paced work environment. The Club is looking for full‑time Lounge Attendants with flexible availability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and scheduled closing shifts. Shifts are subject to change based on business needs. Job Description The Floor Attendant’s duties include performing a full range of food preparation, cleaning, and customer service for the Lounge. Responsibilities include: Maintains a neat work environment, kitchen and passenger seating area by picking up trash, washing dishes, restocking and arranging buffet and food offerings, magazines and newspapers in an orderly fashion, etc. Restocks food and beverage offerings in all service areas (chaffing dishes, crock pots, trays, snacks, coffee, cups, glasses, ice, etc.). Completes any paperwork related to daily inventory/orders. Provides courteous customer service in the clubroom/bar environment. Maintains current city and state approved badge and permits, as applicable. Adheres to all local and state health department and other agency regulations. Can perform duties of a Customer Service Assistant if necessary. Job Requirements Successful completion of an airport authority security background check. High school diploma or GED preferred. Related background in customer service or restaurant/bar service. At least 18 (or 21) years of age as required by law. Ability to handle multiple tasks and possess verbal communication skills to interact with customers, passengers, and co‑workers. Availability for rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Essential Job Functions Cooperate with peers, customers, and supervisors of diverse nature. Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications including local health department food handler certification. Stand during entire scheduled shift. Handle the stress of a fast‑paced work shift up to ten (10) hours. Read and interpret basic documents, complying with company policies and procedures. Present information to passengers, customers, and team members in one‑on‑one or group settings. Perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers. Provide correct change when processing cash transactions on a POS machine. Interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. Bend, climb, crouch, hear, kneel, reach, speak, stand, turn, twist, and walk as needed. Lift 40 pounds up to 40 inches without aid of another person. Push and/or pull 120 pounds with a wheeled cart. Perform tasks safely to prevent personal injury, injury to others, and damage to environment, facilities, and equipment. Follow all lawful safety, health, and liquor rules and regulations. Maintain a personal appearance and grooming that presents a favorable corporate image. Pass security background check and clearance to work in the airport environment. Report to work on a regular and timely basis.
