Delivery Driver (non-CDL)

Schwieters Companies is hiring a full-time Delivery Drive (non-CDL) .

A DAY IN THE LIFE

You will begin your day at 5:30am with the majority of your truck pre-loaded from the previous day. On a normal day, our drivers can expect to deliver material to 5-10 different locations which can vary from commercial to residential new construction job sites. The products you will deliver and unload include kitchen cabinets, interior doors, millwork, and hardware. After your route is complete, you will join the team in the warehouse and help load trucks for the following day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Safely drive and operate an automatic transmission Peterbilt box truck (under 10,000 lbs.)
• Navigate a variety of routes throughout the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area
• Lift and carry materials up to 100 lbs. into commercial and/or residential new construction job sites
• Load and unload trucks
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Read plans and blueprints
• Have constant communication with coordinator and lead on progress with work orders
• Work in the warehouse as needed
• Other duties as assigned

WORK SCHEDULE

• Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2:30pm, overtime as needed (1st shift)

PAY

• $24-$25/hr. (depending on qualifications/experience)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Map and directional knowledge of the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area
• Box truck delivery driver experience preferred
• Clean driving record (MVR)
• Able to lift 100 lbs. comfortably and regularly
• Candidate must have a good work history
• Must be 18 years of age and older
