Description The top skills that Brookdale is looking for in this role are customer service, technical aptitude and reliability. The end users for Brookdale are mostly nurses and sometimes doctors. IT as Brookdale has a moto that they service the people that service the people. It is critical that the nurses and doctors has continuous access to their patients' medical records. If there are any application issues, password problems or connectivity problems they need these issues escalated in a timely and professional manor. The customer service is their top priority, and the technical aptitude comes second. As long as they are resourceful and can follow instructions, they will be able to learn these tasks quickly. Reliability is key because they need people that will be able to work without having to call in too frequently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Assists Brookdale employees who are having computer related problems. Key responsibilities include call handling, call tracking, problem diagnosis, resolution & escalation, working with other IT teams to understand specific applications and systems, education of end user services in specific application areas. This position provides the first level of support to the user community. 1. Answers phones and records all customer requests for problem resolution, new hardware/software or information within problem management system. 2. Retrieves voicemail messages and records into problem management system. 3. Isolates the problem, determines cause and takes action steps necessary to resolve the problem. 4. Performs corrective procedures to resolve the problem. Verifies with customer the effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure problem is resolved. 5. Works directly with other IT teams to understand end user needs for new applications and systems. 6. May assist project teams with hardware and software rollouts as needed. 7. Stays informed about specific application and system changes that are being made at Brookdale by working with appropriate application and technology teams. 8. Routes accurate and detailed descriptions of unresolved problems to the appropriate support personnel. 9. Stays informed of all system changes that affect customers. 10. Coordinates with customer, PC/LAN Specialist team and vendor the servicing of malfunctioning hardware. 11. Maintains record of work performed and prepares activity report as requested. 12. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all IT staff, vendors, customers and management. 13. Makes support decisions which are consistent with department and company computing policies. 14. Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers. *World-class customer service*

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
