SUMMARY: The Marketing / Outreach Specialist is responsible for community outreach, networking, and marketing efforts under the supervision of the Outreach Coordinator or designee. This role includes educating clients, businesses, and schools about the services offered by Castle Family Health Centers (CFHC).

RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITY, DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and analyze findings.
  • Participate in health fairs and community events.
  • Set up promotional displays, booths, and informational tables.
  • Expected to work weekends or evenings for Castle Health fairs or outreach events.
  • Network with medical offices, schools, and public agencies, etc.
  • Plan and execute outreach projects with the department coordinator.
  • Educate clients, businesses, and schools about CFHC services.
  • Participate in local and surrounding community health fairs (including equipment setup).
  • Support special projects and information-sharing initiatives.
  • Create product/service descriptions and support strategic branding.
  • Forecast and strategically plan outreach to improve service profitability.
  • Collaborate with internalexternal teams including various committees with face-to-face meetings to meet community engagement goals.

AUTHORITY: Equals and matches each of the responsibilities

ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports directly to the Outreach Coordinator or designee on a weekly basis or as needed.

Projects need to be approved by the Outreach Coordinator prior to engaging with supervisors.

Performance plan will be updated on a yearly basis for growth.

CONCLUSION:

This position description may be amended at the discretion of the Administrator or Chief Executive Officer.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Experience with computer, word processing and publishing software. Good interpersonal and organization skills. Certified application assistor a plus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School level with college coursework in public relation, organization/human resource or, one year experience in any outreach community position or responsible professional experience in public relations position. Must posses the ability to be a self – starter with outgoing but professional personality. Directly related experience may be substituted for required education. Computer skills required. Driver's license is required with a current DMV print out and proof of vehicle insurance.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and fluently speak Spanish and English. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.

REASONING ABILITY: Able to define problems, collect data, evaluate facts, and draw logical conclusions.Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.

  • Must be able to drive own vehicle to various locations
  • Substantial demand for seeing, close vision, color perception, hearing, clears speech – simple, clear speech- complete, touching sitting, and flexibility.
  • Limited demand for smelling, walking, carrying (20 pounds) and bending
  • Minimal demands lifting (30 pounds), pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, stooping, squatting, standing, and running.
  • Heavy demand for face to face interaction

WORK ENVIRONMENT : Moderate noise level.

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts (e.g., event equipment).

Frequent verbal interaction with staff, clients, and community members.
