We are currently seeking an extremely patient, nurturing, dependable, and compassionate caregiver for a client in the Shelbyville, Tennessee area. Position: Sundays only . Shifts available from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM . Hours may be flexible depending on client needs and caregiver availability. The client has a dog in the home . Ideal candidate must be comfortable around pets and willing to assist with light pet-related care and supervision . Requirements: Non‑smoking, non‑vaping , valid driver’s license , reliable transportation , clean background , and more than 3 years of professional caregiving experience with verifiable professional references . What You’ll Do Personal Care : Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting assistance, mobility support, transfers, and positioning. Deliver care with patience, professionalism, dignity, and respect. Companionship : Offer emotional support, meaningful companionship, and a warm presence. Engage in conversation and activities that reduce isolation and support well‑being. Housekeeping : Perform light housekeeping duties—tidying, laundry, light cleaning, dusting, organizing, and maintaining a clean, hazard‑free home. Meal Preparation : Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on client preferences. Assist with meal planning, safe food handling, kitchen tidiness, and encourage proper hydration and nutrition. Health Monitoring : Monitor physical and emotional well‑being; report changes. Provide medication reminders if needed and assist with blood sugar awareness if applicable. Transportation : Transport client to appointments, errands, and outings. Assist with vehicle entry/exit and ensure safety and professionalism. Pet Care Support : Assist with light pet-related responsibilities—letting dog out, ensuring fresh water, simple feeding assistance if instructed, and maintain awareness of pet’s needs. What We’re Looking For Experience More than 3 years of professional caregiving experience Experience supported by verifiable professional references Strong background in personal care, companionship, household support, and client safety Experience with blood sugar support or monitoring awareness is a plus if applicable Professional Qualities Extremely patient, nurturing, calm, and dependable Professional, detail‑oriented, and compassionate Strong communication skills and respectful bedside manner Committed to maintaining client dignity, comfort, and safety Transportation Requirements Valid current driver’s license Reliable transportation Current car insurance Good driving record Background and Screening Requirements Clean background Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Ability to pass drug screening if applicable Workplace Expectations Must be non‑smoking and non‑vaping Must be comfortable working in a home with a dog Must be professional in appearance, attitude, and conduct Required Documents for Employment Resume Professional references Proof of identity and work authorization as required under Form I‑9 Valid current driver’s license Social Security card Birth certificate Proof of high school completion or equivalent Additional Employment Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Must provide five professional references with no friends or family Employment offers contingent upon passing required screenings and providing favorable references Compliance with all company, state, and federal employment requirements is mandatory Helping Hearts USA LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
