Job Purpose and Summary At CVS Health, Pharmacy Managers cultivate a culture of excellence in the pharmacy by leading and developing a high‑performing team. They serve as role models, promote best practices, and drive change across the pharmacy to provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Lead and develop a pharmacy team, demonstrating genuine care and setting expectations for performance. Manage day‑to‑day operations, monitor pharmacy performance measures, and coach staff through regular feedback. Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, enforce workflow procedures, and maintain safety guardrails at every workstation. Promote and administer immunizations, engaging pharmacy technicians to learn immunization skills. Oversee inventory management, protecting cold‑chain products and ensuring compliance with inventory best practices. Conduct onboarding for new technicians and pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of training and licensure requirements. Maintain legal and regulatory compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; coordinate with Rx District Lead when needed. Partner with the Store Manager to build a talent pipeline of cross‑trained personnel and support their licensure training. Supervise Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists, providing performance reviews and addressing gaps. Develop and manage pharmacy scheduling while maintaining flexibility for business needs. Analyze business reporting to identify opportunities for workflow, service, patient care, and compliance improvements. Create a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion, fostering psychological safety and open feedback. Maintain clinical and technical knowledge through required trainings and continuing medical education. Provide pharmacist‑delivered clinical care, such as testing and prescribing services, where permitted. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, professional, ethical, and CVS Health policies related to controlled substances, privacy, and safety. Essential Functions Maintain regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required trainings within designated timeframes. Attend to prescription accuracy, inventory, and patient counseling with focus and precision. Provide excellent customer service, actively listening and responding to patient needs. Utilize math for dosage calculations, inventory management, and prescription dispensing. Resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions with appropriate decision making. Execute physical demands such as lifting, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements as described. Demonstrate leadership by delegating, mentoring, motivating, and enforcing standards. Adapt to changing circumstances and take ownership of tasks, including any additional duties assigned. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state of employment. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List. 1–2 years of experience in a pharmacist role. Preferred Qualifications Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM‑EL) program. 3–5 years of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings. Willingness to work in the home store and across the market as needed. Anticipated Weekly Hours & Pay Range 40 hours per week; typical pay range $70.00–$88.00 per hour (base salary). The specific offer will depend on experience, education, and location.
