Security System Technician Play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will be responsible for the installation, programming, start‑up, and commissioning of advanced security systems including CCTV, IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and associated software platforms. Responsibilities Participate in operational testing, verification, and acceptance: run routine reports to review system operation, support final inspection and testing, assist with customer training, and submit written reports identifying code and non‑conformance issues. Conduct project site communication and coordination: support scheduling of trade contractors and coordinate start‑up services as needed. Basic Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in installation or maintenance of large‑scale integrated security systems. Demonstrate understanding of network components and workstation/server operating systems. Willing and able to work in various environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outdoor/indoor, hot/cold, day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate wire colors and handle equipment up to 50 pounds unassisted. 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and limited violations. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED; associate degree in electronics or related field preferred. Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
