Summary:

As an Activities Director at AdviniaCare Newburyport, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities that meet the physical, cognitive, social, and recreational needs of our residents. This is a temporary position, lasting between 12-25 weeks, and requires a strong background in running group activities, booking entertainers, and overseeing activity staff.

Responsibilities:
• Develop programming to meet individual physical, cognitive, social, and recreational needs
• Oversee activity schedule and ensure seamless execution
• Manage activity staff and supervise their work
• Attend morning report and care plan meeting to stay informed and contribute to resident care
• Design and implement activities that cater to the cultural and spiritual needs of our residents
• Develop engaging activities that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being

Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Therapeutic Recreation preferred
• Long Term Care Certification preferred
• Two years of long-term care experience preferred
